Digestive Issues

Finding the root causes of bloating, IBS, reflux, and chronic gut problems

Digestive issues are rarely just a gut problem. The digestive system is deeply connected to immune function, hormonal balance, mental health, nutrient absorption, and overall energy levels. When digestion is consistently off, with bloating, reflux, irregular bowel habits, or food reactions, it is usually a sign that something upstream in the body’s chemistry needs to be addressed.

We see patients with a wide range of digestive complaints: from IBS and acid reflux to food sensitivities, leaky gut, and chronic gut issues that have never been statistically explained. Many of them have been prescribed acid-blocking medications or told to avoid certain foods without anyone looking at why the gut is reacting the way it is in the first place.

Our approach starts with the question that conventional medicine often skips: why is this happening? From there, we use functional lab testing and Nutrition Response Testing® to identify the specific organ weaknesses, nutritional deficiencies, and immune triggers that are driving the problem, and build a plan that addresses the underlying cause rather than managing the symptoms.

Common Symptoms

  • Bloating, gas, or abdominal discomfort after eating
  • Acid reflux or heartburn that keeps coming back
  • Irritable bowel symptoms: constipation, diarrhea, or both
  • Food reactions or sensitivities that seem to be getting worse
  • Nausea, sluggish digestion, or a feeling of fullness that lingers
  • Skin issues: eczema, acne, or rashes connect to gut health
  • Fatigue or brain fog that seems related to eating
  • A gut that has never been quite right, even on a clean diet

How we approach it

We assess digestive health through both functional lab testing and Nutrition Response Testing®. Lab markers help us evaluate liver and gallbladder function, pancreatic enzyme production, gut inflammation, and nutrient absorption. Nutrition Response Testing® helps identify food sensitivities, organ stress points, and what the gut specifically needs to begin healing. The dietary component of the program is central. We find that most patients see significant improvement in the early stages of the program.

Is this program right for you?

This is a great fit for people who are tired of managing their digestive symptoms with antacids, food restrictions, or medications, and who are ready to find out what is actually driving their problem.
