Chronic Pain & Inflammation
Addressing the underlying nutritional and physiological drivers of persistent pain
Chronic pain is almost always inflammatory, and inflammation is almost always driven by something specific in the body’s chemistry. Whether the pain is in the joints, the muscles, throughout the body, or without a clear anatomical explanation, finding and addressing the underlying source of that inflammation is the most direct path to lasting relief.
We see patients with a wide range of chronic pain presentations, from joint pain and widespread body aches to pain that has been labeled fibromyalgia, inflammatory arthritis, or simply left without a diagnosis. Many have tried anti-inflammatory medications, physical therapy, and other approaches that provided temporary relief without addressing the underlying driver.
Nutrition plays a fundamental role in inflammation. Blood sugar dysregulation, gut permeability, food sensitivities, nutrient deficiencies, and immune system burden are among the most common physiological contributors to chronic inflammation, and they are all addressable through targeted nutritional support and dietary change.
Common Symptoms
- Joint pain, stiffness, or swelling, especially in the morning
- Widespread body aches or muscle pain without a clear cause
- Pain that seems to move or shift between different areas of the body
- Inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis or fibromyalgia
- Pain that worsens with certain foods or improves with dietary changes
- Chronic pain that has not responded adequately to conventional treatment
- Fatigue alongside pain, a combination that is often driven by the same underlying inflammation
How we approach it
We use functional lab testing to identify the specific inflammatory markers, nutritional deficiencies, and metabolic drivers that are contributing to chronic pain. This often includes markers for gut health, food sensitivities, blood sugar regulation, and immune activity, all of which are frequently involved in chronic inflammatory conditions. Nutrition Response Testing helps identify the specific organs under the most stress and the nutritional support most needed. The dietary changes required vary by patient but are central to the program. In our experience, diet is the single most powerful tool available for reducing chronic inflammation.
Is this program right for you?
This program is a strong fit for people who are tired of managing their pain with medications and are ready to look seriously at the nutritional and physiological factors driving it.
Join the patients who look forward to Thursdays
Every week, our practitioners send out a short, practical email covering what we are seeing in the office, what is working for our patients, and straightforward information about how to maintain and improve your health. No fluff. No selling. Just the kind of useful, honest health information our patients tell us they look forward to every week.
